The investor case for governed private AI

This page is written for investors evaluating the category and the company. It contains no inflated numbers and no invented traction — the same honesty discipline we apply everywhere else.

Thesis

Why this category exists

Regulated enterprises — telecoms, banks, ministries, critical infrastructure — hold the data that makes AI most valuable and least deployable. Public AI tools are already used informally in these environments, creating exposure nobody approved. The buyers are not looking for another model; they are looking for AI they can defend to a CISO, an auditor and a regulator.

Traditional GRC and audit spending is widely estimated by industry analysts in the tens of billions of dollars annually, with AI governance emerging as its fastest-moving segment. We deliberately publish no precise market figure here: numbers we cannot source to a named report do not appear on this site. Sourced market framing is included in the investor deck.

What is different here

  • Wedge, not platform-first: Locs enters through a measured telecom pain — charging & BSS incident assurance — rather than a generic AI platform sale.
  • Governance as architecture: approval gates, evidence and rollback are enforced in code (the AOS-1 contract), not written in policy PDFs — a defensible engineering moat that generic wrappers lack.
  • Deployment model as trust: customer-controlled, air-gap-capable deployment removes the objection that kills most enterprise AI sales.
  • Evidence-first commercial motion: paid, fixed-scope pilots ending in signed evidence — engineered for procurement and renewal, not demo theatre.

Stage, honestly

mAIb Tech is pre-launch and founder-led. We are onboarding a limited design-partner cohort, and we do not publish customer names, revenue or deployment counts — because publishing unverifiable traction is exactly what this company was built to reject. Detailed stage, roadmap and commercial progress are shared directly in investor conversations.
